Sustainability, External Affairs & Legal - Risk & Compliance works across the company to identify and manage risks, and to comply with all relevant regulations.
About the Role
- As a Risk & Compliance Analyst, you will support the team to implement and enact key risk and compliance framework requirements, helping to safeguard the organisation and ensure Telstra is compliant with internal and external regulations.
- You will utilise specialist risk and compliance management, audit and assurance knowledge, and strong collaboration and communication skills to contribute to your team.
- Your attention to detail and analytical skills support the management of key business risks and compliance obligations, mitigating non-compliance risk and protecting Telstra's reputation.

- Support the business to manage their compliance obligations and business-related risks in accordance with relevant frameworks.
- Identify and/or develop and document key controls across critical risks and compliance obligations.
- Develop documentation of test plans for key controls.
- Plan and execute control tests and report on control effectiveness.
- Leverage interpersonal and influencing skills to develop and maintain relationships within the team and across the organisation with key internal stakeholders.
- Liaise with business stakeholders and risk and compliance team members to support breach management and reporting, identify solutions, and seek input to problem-solve.
- Gather information to develop insights and data analytics to measure risk and compliance effectiveness across relevant frameworks.
- Contribute to planning and day-to-day activities within the team, assisting with a range of risk and compliance tasks.
- Stay up to date with regulations by proactively researching regulatory bulletins and other sources of information.
To be successful in the role, you'll have:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent business experience
- Knowledge of operational risk and compliance frameworks
- Experience with control identification, design, and documentation
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work with tight timelines
