Project Coordinator – Commercial Installations (Sydney Based - Remote Considered)

Location: Sydney

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Project Coordinator to join our team, focusing on the installation of commercial outdoor play equipment at pre-schools, play centres, resorts, and more. The Best Backyard is a mission-driven company, we are committed to growing our business while delivering high-quality, safe, and engaging play environments.

In this role, you will manage the end-to-end process of each project, from quoting and specifying to tendering and overseeing both off-site and on-site project management. You will collaborate with a dedicated team and work alongside local contractors to ensure successful installations. The role involves site visits and travel across Australia, predominantly along the East Coast.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the installation of commercial play equipment
  • Quoting, specifying, and tendering for projects
  • Managing off-site and on-site project logistics with internal teams and contractors
  • Site visits and travel across Australia, mainly on the East Coast

Experience Required

  • Proven experience in project coordination, preferably in commercial installations, construction, or a similar field.
  • Experience in managing outdoor play equipment installations or similar large-scale projects (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of project management processes, including quoting, specifying, tendering, and scheduling.
  • Experience in managing teams and collaborating with contractors on-site and off-site.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance in construction or outdoor play environments.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Ability to travel and conduct site visits across Australia, predominantly along the East Coast.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Note: This is a new role and we are open to both remote and Sydney office based options or a combination of both.
