DFSV Case Worker

Are you passionate about supporting individuals and families impacted by Domestic Family & Sexual Violence (DFSV)? We're looking for experienced, trauma-informed practitioners to join our client, a leading provider of recovery services. In this role, you will provide practical support to clients and assist in ensuring they reach their individual goals as outlined in their case plans.
The organisation is dedicated to supporting individuals and families impacted by DFSV through a holistic and client-centred approach. It is deeply rooted in principles of gender equality, trauma-informed care, and empowerment, aiming to create a safe and supportive environment for those in need.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with external stakeholders, including government and community services, with a focus on primary health, recovery, and support for individuals impacted by domestic, family, and sexual violence (DFSV).
- Develop, implement, and regularly review client-centred case plans in partnership with individuals affected by DFSV, ensuring a recovery-oriented and trauma-informed approach.
- Facilitate client engagement across the service lifecycle, including intake, ongoing case management, and exit planning.
- Empower clients to actively participate in and take ownership of their case planning and recovery journey.
- Provide day-to-day support and coordination of services that align with each individual's goals, needs, and wellbeing.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including program managers and peer workers, to ensure cohesive, holistic support for clients.
- Contribute to service development through input into policies, procedures, and program evaluations.
- Ensure accurate, timely, and confidential client recordkeeping, aligned with legal, ethical, and organisational standards.
- Participate in regular professional development, reflective practice, and internal supervision to maintain service quality and personal growth.
- Actively contribute to advocacy and awareness efforts related to DFSV, mental health, and trauma recovery, while promoting cultural safety and inclusion across the workplace.

Selection Criteria
- Being female is considered a genuine occupational qualification as per Section 31 of the NSW Anti-Discrimination Act 1977
- Tertiary qualifications in Community Work, Social Work, Welfare, Counselling, or a related discipline.
- Experience working with families impacted by DFSV, using a flexible, trauma-informed, and client-centred approach.
- Strong understanding of contemporary family, domestic, and sexual violence issues, with a commitment to gender equality and women's rights.
- Experience working with diverse communities, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, LGBTQIA+, migrant, culturally and linguistically diverse, neurodivergent, and people with disabilities.
- Current Working with Children's Check.
- Willingness to undertake a National Police Check.
- Fluency in a language other than English
