About The Role

The position involves supporting the Youth Marketing and Communications Officer to improve the quality, accuracy and accessibility of information on services and programs available for young people in Merri-bek, with the aim to simplify access to services.

The position will involve research and investigation into the full range of programs, services and opportunities available to young people in Merri-bek, at any given time and to regularly update this information.

The information collected will be used to create a local directory and other promotional collateral to ensure the information contained on Council's website is up to date and accurate. This information will assist Youth Services staff and the community to improve their knowledge and awareness of support options available to young people and ensure the information is easily accessible.

Skills And Experience Require To Perform The Role
  • 4 Years secondary plus industry training or on the job training
  • Skills in administration and some experience in marketing and communications is desirable
  • Demonstrated competency in IT software systems, including website and other social media applications
  • Working with Children Card is essential
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
