As a Category Procurement Specialist , you'll manage strategic sourcing activities across one of the following portfolios :
Cabin Engineering -Mainly focused on the seating category with development of some other Buyer Furnished Equipment (BFE) categoriesOperations - Ground handling, security, fleet presentation, customer service and other essential operational services.This role will see you working closely with internal stakeholders to shape procurement strategies, deliver cost-effective outcomes and ensure supplier performance aligns with operational needs and business objectives. You'll also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, data-driven decision-making and procurement process optimisation.
You'll have :
3–5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, category management or procurement in indirect spend areasA tertiary qualification in Procurement, Business, or a related disciplineStrong negotiation, influencing and stakeholder management skillsExperience sourcing services such as consultancy, legal, insurance, recruitment, training or travelUnderstanding of procurement best practices, supplier performance management and contract negotiationAbility to manage cross-functional projects in a fast-paced, outcomes-driven environmentProficiency in Microsoft 365, ERP and eProcurement toolsA commercial mindset and passion for creating procurement value beyond cost savingsWhy Qantas?
