Sold Property Group is on the lookout for a proactive and experienced Senior Bookkeeper/Accountant to join our dynamic team in Belmont responsible for full financial operations and general office management. Manage the books: Oversee all accounting duties, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, trust accounting, reconciliations, reporting, budgeting and BAS. You'll also prep for trust account audits and provide financial advice to the Principal.
Office support: Provide support across the team, from general office management to assisting the Principal as needed.
Ensure compliance: Keep us on track with financial and regulatory requirements across the board.
Streamline operations: Implement and maintain efficient office systems to keep things running smooth.
HR support: Onboard and train new staff managing the recruitment process and employee records as part of the HR process.
Contribute to success: Play an pivotal role in keeping the business running efficiently and contributing to its growth.
Financial acumen: Strong accounting and financial management skills. Familiarity with Trust accounting and Xero is a bonus.
Experience: You'll need at least 3 years' experience in accounting. No prior real estate experience? No problem—we'll provide full training
Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Organisation: You're highly organised, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to juggle multiple tasks effectively. Accuracy is essential.
Self-starter: Able to work independently, meet deadlines, and resolve problems quickly.
Tech-savvy: Proficient in Microsoft Office and other office-related software.
Positive attitude: Well-presented with a customer-focused, proactive mindset.
