What You'd Be Doing In This RoleAs Canva scales, change is part of our DNA. This role focuses on partnering with HR stakeholders, translating needs into problems, requirements, and solutions; documenting processes; creating test plans; presenting analysis to senior stakeholders; collaborating across IT, Procurement, Finance, and People; managing ambiguity; and thinking strategically across global contexts.
Responsibilities- Partner with HR stakeholders to understand needs and translate into clear problem statements, scope, requirements, and solutions.
- Define functional and non-functional requirements to ensure high-quality, reliable solutions.
- Contribute to project delivery from small coordination to complex change projects and systems implementations.
- Document processes and identify optimization opportunities.
- Create test plans and scenarios from requirements.
- Present analysis and recommendations to senior stakeholders and align on path forward.
- Collaborate with IT, Procurement, Finance, and People stakeholders.
- Manage complexity and shape ways of working as Canva scales.
- Think strategically about global, regional, and country impacts.
- At least 7 years of experience on complex HR projects (including Workday), analyzing and redesigning processes or delivering projects in medium to large enterprises.
- Strong understanding of HR technology; experience implementing complex HR tools as part of an HR technology roadmap; Workday HCM experience essential.
- Experience gathering requirements, documenting processes, creating test plans, and translating business needs into technical requirements.
- Systems thinking mindset with ability to connect processes, people, and platforms and understand upstream/downstream impacts.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to influence senior leaders in a matrixed organization.
- Solutions-oriented with ability to balance big-picture thinking and immediate actions without compromising quality.
