About The Position Wests New Lambton has established itself as a premier destination for food, drinks, and entertainment. Continually evolving to meet the needs of the local community, the venue now boasts a wide range of dining and bar experiences, along with regular live entertainment and music. Guests can enjoy a variety of culinary options, including the renowned Chophouse Grill and Emerald Gardens, as well as diverse offerings within the Wests Food Court—featuring The Bistro, New Beijing, Emporium 88, and the Patisserie.
Responsibilities
- Work with local produce and ensure high quality product and presentation at all times.
- Adhere to recipes and procedures outlined by our Head Chef.
- Ability to work unsupervised.
- Assist with running the kitchen and service periods in the absence of our Head Chef.
- Assist with the design, planning and costing of menus.
- Maintain the highest standard of Food Safety & Hygiene at all times.
About You
- You have previous Sous Chef experience in a large club or busy restaurant with Qualifications in Commercial Cookery Certificate III and demonstrated leadership experience.
- You will have the ability to lead and motivate your team to ensure smooth running of service and standards our members and guests have come to expect are met.
- As part of The Wests Group recruitment and assessment process, all candidates progressing to the next stage will be required to complete relevant due diligence and probity checks specific to the role. This includes, but is not limited to, a Criminal History Check, reference checks, and right to work verification via our company portal. All associated checks and costs will be facilitated by The Wests Group.
