Hiring Service Desk Officer

We are seeking a customer-focused Service Desk Officer to join a client team. You will be the first point of contact for IT support, managing incidents and service requests via phone and email while ensuring a high standard of service delivery in line with policies, procedures, and SLAs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver responsive first-level ICT support and resolve a wide range of technical issues.
  • Manage and document high volumes of service desk calls, ensuring users are informed throughout the process.
  • Escalate incidents as required and follow through to resolution.
  • Provide support for standard desktop applications and approved software.
  • Maintain accurate records using call management and knowledge systems.
  • Contribute to service improvements and performance reporting.

About You:

  • Proven experience in a service desk or IT support environment.
  • Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritise, meet deadlines, and work both independently and within a team.
  • Ability to express SLAs and KPIs that were utilised to measure customer output and resolution.
  • Familiarity with desktop applications and basic IT troubleshooting.
  • Experience handling confidential information with discretion.
