Intensive Therapeutic Care Worker

About the Role
Provide direct support, care, and mentorship to children and young people living in Intensive Therapeutic Care homes across the Central Coast. Some of the young people we care for may also have a disability or complex medical needs requiring specialised support, including personal care.
You will be part of a dedicated team working to ensure a safe, homelike environment where these young people can thrive, supporting them to learn independent life skills, develop problem-solving skills, and build positive relationships with others.
Our residential homes operate 24/7; therefore, it is essential that successful applicants are able and willing to work a roster that includes afternoon, sleepover, and weekend shifts. We cannot consider applicants who cannot fulfill this requirement.
Skills & Experience
- A Diploma in Community Services or a related field, OR willingness to complete a Diploma offered by LWB (Note: a qualification is desirable but not essential for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicants with relevant experience)
- Current Provide First Aid and CPR certificates.
- Experience with high behaviours and people with disabilities is required.
- Australian Driver's Licence.
Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks, including a National Criminal History Record Check and NSW Working with Children Check.
