Karratha, Australia Department of Education, Western Australia Full time

We are seeking to establish a pool of Early Childhood Education Teachers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

About Us

The 'Baynton West Way' has become a way of life for many of our students and staff. Integrity, innovation, dedication and caring are our key guiding beacons, and our school vision of, 'Children are at the heart of our school' embodies everything we do.

Our school staff are committed to building positive relationships, with the motivation to pursue excellence. Our dedicated and professional staff maintain an environment which supports each child every day to achieve their personal best. We are leaders in explicit instruction, with a strong culture of collaboration which is authentic and practiced every day, with common year level DOTT (Duties other than Teaching) and classroom observations and coaching embedded – the environment is one of trust and open communication. Staff employ evidence-based strategies to embrace a "playfully explicit" pedagogy in the Early Years within a defined whole-school approach to maximise the effect they have on student learning. In addition, we constantly aim to deliver the highest standards of pastoral care and support services to enable our students to thrive.

Find out more about our school by visiting Baynton West PS or Schools Online .

The Role

We are actively seeking applicants for roles in Pre-Primary and Kindy. Suitable applicants will ideally be passionate, motivated and skilled educators who are committed to improving literacy and numeracy outcomes for every child, embracing our Playfully Explicit pedagogy and whole school approaches.

It is highly desirable that applicants are committed to developing positive relationships with students, parents, staff and the wider community. Applicants should possess a strong capacity to plan challenging and engaging programs using an excellent understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework, the National Quality Standards and the Western Australian Curriculum.

We are seeking applicants who are innovative and possess high quality teaching skills and knowledge. They will ideally be committed to ongoing professional growth and development, actively seek and accept feedback, support current whole school processes and be collegial, effective collaborators.
