On-Ground and Account Manager – Australia

Account Manager – Australia (Sports Tech) is a part-time role based in Australia, reporting to the Head of Operations (India). Location: Australia (preferably based in Sydney, Melbourne, or Brisbane).
About Stupa: We are a fast-growing sports tech company empowering the global racket sports ecosystem through innovative digital solutions. Our platform is used by federations, clubs, and event organizers worldwide to streamline operations, enhance player experience, and bring real-time insights to the game.
Responsibilities- Account Management & Client Relationships: Serve as the primary point of contact for existing clients (event organizers, federations, clubs, coaches, and other stakeholders); foster strong, long-term relationships; understand client needs; provide solutions; communicate platform updates; gather feedback; relay insights and requirements to remote product and operations teams in India.
- On-Ground Event Support & Operations: Attend local sports tournaments and league events as the senior on-site company representative; ensure platform functions across registrations, live scoring, scheduling, and analytics; troubleshoot real-time issues and escalate complex problems as needed; travel extensively within Australia, including weekends/evenings; occasional late-night support to align with India team.
- Growth & Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Australian sports landscape (clubs, academies, leagues, schools); conduct product demonstrations; contribute to market research and competitive analysis to inform growth strategy.
- Product & Technical Contribution: Develop deep understanding of all platform modules; test new features and provide feedback; assist in creating BRDs/PRDs translating client needs into specifications; collaborate with remote development and support teams for updates and enhancements.
- Training & Reporting: Conduct comprehensive training sessions for staff, volunteers, partners, and new clients; submit post-event and client interaction reports highlighting observations, incidents, performance insights, and opportunities for growth.
- Australian resident or hold valid, unrestricted work authorization for Australia.
- Mandatory: Strong background and experience in sports management, sports events, or a related field within the sports industry.
- Proven experience in account management, technical support, or a client-facing role, preferably within a tech or sports tech company.
- Exceptional communication skills, verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex technical information clearly.
- Highly tech-savvy with a strong aptitude for quickly learning, understanding, and troubleshooting mobile/web-based platforms and software.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively within Australia for events, including weekends and evenings.
- Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with independence and a genuine passion for sports and technology.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and master new software applications and processes.
- Nice to Have: Prior experience with sports tech tools (e.g., tournament software, scoring apps, streaming platforms); existing network within the local racket sports landscape and broader Australian sports community; educational background in Sports Management, Business, IT, Computer Science, or related field.
