Organisational Change Manager

Initial contract until 30/03/2026 with likely extension, paying from $134/hr. Brisbane CBD location with flexibility to WFH 2 days per week.
Our client, a large Queensland Government Department, is seeking a Business Transformation Change Manager to join an established program of work.
The annual delivery portfolio within their Infrastructure Services Division has increased to over $1.7 billion in 2024–25, with over 2,000 projects inflight and a growing asset base valued at over $40 billion.
Recent assessments indicate a need to uplift business practice maturity across ISD to meet increased demands. Transformation initiatives focus on portfolio management, financial management, asset management, contract management, and digital enablement.
Accountabilities of the role:- Collaborate with internal teams, consultancy partners, and stakeholders to deliver effective change outcomes.
- Utilize change frameworks and coaching to support initiatives.
- Develop and maintain change management strategies, plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Identify and mitigate risks and readiness challenges.
- Conduct stakeholder analysis and develop engagement and communication plans.
- Build relationships with stakeholders and act as a trusted advisor.
- Design and deliver communications, support training, and develop resources.
- Monitor implementation, gather feedback, and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Support leaders and teams in navigating change and embedding new behaviors.
- Establish KPIs and report on progress.
- Relevant qualification in Business Management or related fields.
- Proven experience in change and project management.
- Formal certification in change methodologies (e.g., Prosci, ADKAR).
- Successful delivery of change initiatives in complex environments.
- Ability to operate in low-maturity change contexts.
- Strong influencing, communication, leadership, and coaching skills.
- Attention to detail with a strategic outlook.
