About the role

The scheduler will support the successful delivery of projects within the Portfolio Delivery department by working closely with Portfolio Managers, Program Managers, and Project Managers to plan, create, and manage project schedules. Responsibilities include assisting with schedule planning, coordinating tasks, and monitoring timelines.

What you will be doing

  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using MS Project in collaboration with Program Managers.
  • Integrate multiple schedules into a master schedule, establish baselines, and monitor performance against them.
  • Create and maintain schedule reports such as Gantt charts and milestone charts to support critical path analysis, resource allocation, and performance tracking.
  • Establish and follow schedule version control processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with Portfolio Delivery and Delivery Services managers to ensure consistent scheduling approaches for accurate project execution and reporting.
  • Estimate schedules by eliciting input from stakeholders to capture work estimates, actuals, and remaining work.
  • Identify and troubleshoot potential scheduling issues.

What you will bring to the role

Education / Certificates

  • Qualifications or certifications in a Technology or Business-related field preferred.
  • Certification in project management (Prince2, APM, PMI, etc.) is desirable.

Experience and Knowledge

  • Minimum 5 years experience as a Scheduler, preferably within a Digital division.
  • Proven ability to manage complex transformation program schedules.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and negotiate confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Utility industry experience is highly advantageous.
  • Expert-level proficiency with scheduling tools such as MS Project, PPM Tools, Excel, JIRA, and Power BI.
