Job Role:We seek an experienced Road Designer to contribute to ongoing projects with Main Roads Western Australia, shaping the state's transport infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:- Create detailed road designs using industry-standard software like OpenRoads and Civil 3D, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
- Deliver the Road Design component of projects within agreed deadlines;
- Provide technical input and innovative solutions to complex road design challenges, ensuring effective project delivery.
- Produce accurate, clear, and concise project documents compliant with best practice and quality standards;
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to deliver comprehensive road design solutions.
- Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering is desirable;
- Essential skills in road design using OpenRoads, Civil 3D, or 12D,
- Experience in project delivery with participation in major road infrastructure projects;
- Desirable experience in MRWA ETS projects, proven capability to address unexpected challenges and find budget-friendly solutions;
- Knowledge of Austroads Guide to Road Design and Main Roads' Supplements is essential, with knowledge of other road agencies standards in Australia being desirable.
