Lantrak is looking for a skilled, experienced truck mechanic to join our team on the tools at our new, purpose-built truck onboarding and inspection facility in Heatherton.

This isn't your typical workshop gig. You'll be part of a small, trusted crew responsible for keeping trucks moving safely and efficiently, using state-of-the-art equipment and working on a variety of vehicles and systems.

If you're practical, hands-on, and take pride in doing the job right the first time, this is the role for you.

About The Role

You'll be responsible for:

  • Carrying out inspections, maintenance and repairs on a range of heavy vehicles and plant
  • Using brake testers, hoists, diagnostic tools, and other workshop equipment
  • Identifying faults and carrying out efficient, safe repairs
  • Supporting the onboarding of new trucks into Lantrak's fleet by ensuring all mechanical and compliance requirements are met
  • Keeping clear records of repairs, servicing and inspections
  • Maintaining a clean and safe workshop environment
  • Working closely with other team members to keep workflows on track

About You

You're a qualified mechanic who's good on the tools, knows their way around a truck, and works best in a hands-on, no-fuss environment.
  • Trade qualified heavy vehicle mechanic
  • Experience across a variety of trucks and systems
  • Able to work independently and solve problems under pressure
  • Strong understanding of safety, compliance, and service standards
  • Good communicator and team player
  • Organised, reliable, and comfortable using diagnostic equipment and workshop systems
