Part-time offers the flexibility to live a balanced life. Maybe you don't need to work but you want to work? Maybe keeping busy makes you happy, but you don't want to be so busy you don't have time for you. Maybe it just gives you the flexibility to pick up the kids. Whatever the reason this role is part time 20 hours per week.

You probably want to know what's involved.

If you've worked in Events before, you know what it takes. Build relationships with key stakeholders, coordinating a busy calendar of events, managing sponsorship packages, coordinating event sponsors and speakers, social media marketing, finance management. All thanks to your efficient events coordination, communication, and administration skills.

You'll work mainly remote, or on site in Hobart when the events are being held. Flexibility is offered here, we envisage you'll work 20 hours per week, but we can negotiate when those hours are to suit your week. Some months will be busier than others, with a slowdown over the summer months. So you may work more hours in winter, and less in summer, giving you more time to go on that summer holiday.

You'll work closely with the Events Committee and report to the CEO. This is a small team, so all hands are on deck and everyone chips in to ensure the events are a success. You'll be responsible for agenda preparation, event listing on websites, Humantix registration websites, venue bookings, catering, name badges, maintaining guest lists, promoting the photo gallery as well as post-event surveys. You'll bring the sparkle to our events.

By the way, if you're wondering if you need qualifications, don't worry. Your personality is more important than your exam results. We do require you to have at least 5 years' experience in in events coordination and or marketing.

If you already know your way around EDM tools like Mailchimp, Wordpress, LinkedIn and other social media platforms, that will help. If not, we'll train you.
