NDIS - Disability Support Worker (Part-time and Casual) at Bendigo Advertiser. Allambi Care is a multi-disciplined leader in human services working across NSW and Victoria, committed to supporting vulnerable people with over 40 years of experience.

About The Role

The Support Worker plays a vital role in fostering a safe, friendly, and supportive environment for individuals living with disabilities, children, and young people in the care of Allambi Care. Through tailored person-centred active support, this role empowers participants, including those with complex needs, to develop daily living skills, engage in community activities, and build their capacity for greater independence and inclusivity to achieve their goals.

Your Daily Tasks
  • Build a relationship with the people you are caring for.
  • Provide around-the-clock care following a structured routine, including personal care.
  • Administering medication.
  • Transport participants to and from school, day programs, and appointments.
  • Assist in the implementation of programs designed for client development.
  • Prepare and maintain report writing.

Qualifications and Requirements

Essential criteria:

  • Current Working with Children Check (for paid employment).
  • Current NDIS Worker Check.
  • Current First Aid Certificate (Provide First Aid; HLTAID011).
  • National Police Check.
  • Current driver's licence (minimum P2).
  • Vehicle capable of transporting 4+ people and comprehensive car insurance.
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module completion.
  • Ability to work a 7-day roster and participate in pre-employment medical checks.
  • Two professional references.

Desirable qualifications (not required):

  • Certificate 4 Disability or Disability Support or equivalent.
  • Certificate 3 Individual Support.
  • Certificate 3 Aged Care.
