To support our growing business, we are looking for an experienced Office Administrator/Manager to join our friendly and dedicated team.
About the role
We are seeking a highly organized and adaptable Office Administrator/Manager. You will work largely autonomously in the office but will have the full support of the Edgetek team. The position offers flexible working hours (as agreed) and the opportunity to bring your ideas, experience, and improvements to the role. Responsibilities include:
- Prompt response and follow-up of phone calls, emails, and inquiries
- Providing friendly and professional customer service
- Providing general administrative support to the team as required
- Drafting invoices and receipts, and following up on overdue accounts
- Database and records management
- Processing payroll and superannuation
- Managing purchase orders and inventory
- General filing and maintenance of business systems
- Coordinating with the Edgetek team, suppliers, and external contractors
- Assisting with booking and maintenance schedules
- Performing other ad hoc administrative duties as required
This is a varied administrative role with diverse responsibilities, requiring an exceptionally organized, agile individual maintaining the highest level of professional standards and attention to detail.
Skills and experience
The successful applicant will have at least 2 years of experience as an Office Administrator. Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and experience with social media for business promotion are required. Experience with the accounting system Xero is essential. Knowledge of programs such as Urbanise, Linksafe, Rapid Global, or SharePoint is beneficial but not essential.
You should be adept at multitasking, managing phone and email inquiries with a professional and friendly approach. Strong communication skills, a team-oriented attitude, and an impeccable work ethic are also important.
