Payroll Officer - Immediate Start (Data Entry Focused) Location: Newington, NSW (near Silverwater) Parking: Onsite available Work Type: Part-time, 2/3 days a week Start Date: ASAP

About the Role:
We're looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Payroll Officer to assist with data entry and payroll support for a well-established national business in the fire, HVAC, and electrical services space. This is a hands-on admin/payroll support role, focusing on data accuracy, timesheet entry, and general employee queries.
You will be supporting payroll activities across multiple states (NSW, VIC, QLD, ACT), using Pronto ERP.

Key Duties:

  • Enter and check employee timesheets submitted by branch staff
  • Maintain accurate records of staff leave (annual, personal, long service)
  • Process payroll entries using the Pronto system.
  • Answer basic payroll-related questions from staff.
  • Ensure data entry aligns with basic conditions like hours worked and timesheet accuracy
  • Post processed data into the ERP for payroll runs
  • Support the payroll team with administrative tasks as needed

What You'll Need:

  • Experience with Pronto payroll software is preffered
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
  • Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Good communication skills - able to assist employees with basic payroll queries.
