Key Responsibilities:

IT Operations Management:

• Oversee daily IT operations to ensure reliable system performance across the NGO Training Centre.
• Manage IT service delivery, including help desk support and network administration, ensuring compliance with data security regulations and cybersecurity standards.
• Lead incident response and disaster recovery initiatives, optimising cloud computing capabilities and overall IT infrastructure.
• Ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of IT infrastructure, particularly for e-learning platforms and internal processes.
• Maintain and update IT support documentation for stakeholders, managing continuous improvement for systems.
• Develop risk management strategies to protect our data while staying updated on technological advancements.
• Oversee data governance policies to ensure effective management, privacy, and security in compliance with regulations.

Strategic Leadership:

• Manage key projects, including the development or acquisition of a self-managed Learning Management System (LMS) and integrating AI solutions aligned with our objectives.
• Drive business continuity planning, integrating disaster recovery and risk management across the organisation.
• Formulate and implement IT strategies that support international expansion and enhance e-learning delivery.
• Collaborate with the leadership team to adopt technologies that improve the learner experience and encourage innovation in accessibility and inclusivity.
• Conduct ongoing research to ensure effective IT solution implementation in line with emerging technologies.
• Establish governance frameworks that support scalable, cost-effective technology investments and collaborate with executives to drive progress.

IT Project Management:

• Lead the development and migration to a new Learning Management System (LMS) while ensuring continuous improvements.
• Oversee the implementation of a new Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and upgrades to other technologies.
• Execute projects as directed by executive leadership, introducing innovative technologies that enhance efficiencies.
• Manage relationships with key external stakeholders and IT vendors to ensure effective collaboration and timely service delivery on projects.
• Work with international partners to improve global course accessibility through technology enhancements.
• Collaborate with internal departments to integrate IT solutions that streamline operations and enhance user experiences.

Leadership & Team Management:

• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing IT team focused on innovation and cooperation.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the IT team while managing budgets effectively.
• Promote cybersecurity awareness and innovation throughout NGO Training Centre, ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key Selection Criteria

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

• Degree or postgraduate qualification in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business Administration.
• Minimum of 8 years in a leadership role within IT, demonstrating expertise in IT operations, cybersecurity, and digital transformation.
• Comprehensive experience in IT systems design and development, from analysis and deployment to daily management.
• Proven ability to align IT strategies with organisational objectives and a strong understanding of governance, compliance, and risk management frameworks.
• Demonstrated success in managing and executing projects effectively.

Skills and Attributes:

• Proficient in cloud computing, AI, automation, and enterprise systems.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage stakeholders effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in reporting and analytics for informed decision-making.
• Familiarity with process automation tools like Power Automate and Zapier is an advantage.
• Experience in managing budgets for departments and projects.
• Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
• Knowledge of IT Service Management and cybersecurity standards.
