Research Associate – Australian Centre for Excellence in Antarctic Science

The Australian Centre for Excellence in Antarctic Science (ACEAS) is seeking a Research Associate in Ice Sheet Modelling and Data Science. ACEAS is a significant $25M Special Research Initiative funded by the Australian Research Council. Its primary goal is to assist the global community in preparing for climate risks associated with East Antarctica and the Southern Ocean by integrating knowledge across oceanography, atmospheric sciences, cryosphere, and ecosystems. As a national-scale, university-led centre, ACEAS collaborates with various Australian and international partners, led by the University of Tasmania.
Position Details- Full-time, fixed-term position until 31 December 2025
- Location: Hobart
- Responsibilities include leading a data-driven assessment of the East Antarctic Ice Sheet within the ACEAS program
