Overview

Our organisation, Sayer 45, is out on the water 4 days per week during school term, running up to 6 programs every week. A maintenance coordinator is required to assist with maintenance jobs on the vessel and coordinate big jobs.

Responsibilities
  • Maintenance jobs could include booking the vessel into the boatyard for an antifoul.
  • Ordering parts (as authorised).
  • Checking fuel levels.
  • Replacing a broken latch.
  • Checking stauntions for splits.
  • Washing the deck.
  • Organising working bees.
  • Tidying the shed.
Volunteer culture and benefits

Volunteers are welcomed into a beautiful culture where we willingly share knowledge and bring enjoyment to young people with a disability and/or at disadvantage through our sailing programs.

Volunteers are provided with a uniform and have the opportunity to learn new skills through our training program. Some knowledge of boats is advantageous but not necessary.
