As a Principal Assessment Officer (PO5) with Blue Card Services, you will lead a team responsible for assessing police and adverse information to determine who is eligible to hold a Blue Card—ensuring only the right people can work with children.

About the role
  • Provide strategic and operational direction to the Eligibility Assessment Team.
  • Assess complex cases and ensure decisions align with legislative requirements.
  • Ensure quality, consistency, and accuracy in all regulatory assessments.
  • Manage escalated matters, support team members, and drive process improvements.
  • Prepare reports, legal correspondence, and stakeholder updates.
  • A natural leader with experience in regulatory decision-making, legal assessments, or risk management.
  • Skilled in interpreting legislation and applying it to real-world cases.
  • Confident managing complex and sensitive information while maintaining integrity and professionalism.
  • Passionate about child safety and dedicated to upholding community trust.
