The Community Health and Therapy Services at Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Speech Pathologist to join their team on a temporary basis.

Your opportunity- Deliver Speech Pathology clinical services to consumers of Community Health and Therapy Services, including outreach to regional areas, as determined through the Hospital and Health Services Plan and priorities.
- Work as a member of a trans-disciplinary team, delivering clinical services to consumers in the Mackay HHSs area, covering a range of clinical conditions and complexity. This position operates within a Professional Skill-Sharing and Delegation model of care by providing and participating in supervision and training in the use of skill-shared and delegated clinical tasks, and by delivering an expanded scope of clinical practice.
Our Speech Pathology Service delivers care to patients, both children and adults, throughout our hospital departments as well as in outpatient, community and rural settings. Our Speech Pathologists provide assessment, diagnosis, treatment and management to children and adults needing help with communication and/or swallowing.
About our Hospital and Health ServiceMackay Hospital and Health Service has 6 hospitals, 2 multi-purpose health services and 4 community health centres that employ more than 3,700 staff. The district covers an area of approximately 90,000km2 and provides services to patients and their families in Bowen, Cannonvale, Clermont, Collinsville, Dysart, Glenden, Mackay, Middlemount, Moranbah, Proserpine and Sarina.
