The Role

The successful applicant should display an excellent knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum, and experience in developing and delivering a broad spectrum of secondary Mathematics curriculum, and a wide range of teaching models. They should display the ability to differentiate the curriculum in an engaging and relevant manner. They should ideally be innovative and inclusive and be able to cultivate a safe and accountable learning environment for students of varying ability levels across Year 7 to 12. The ability to teach Mathematics Methods and Mathematics Specialist is highly desirable. The successful applicant should be highly proficient in motivating and engaging students and will be able to display the effective use of Information and communication technology in the teaching of Mathematics.

We are seeking for a dynamic and collaborative individual ideally committed to working effectively as part of a team and who strive to connect and inspire with staff, students and the wider school community. The successful applicant will ideally possess excellent interpersonal skills and be relationship focused. Building positive relationships with students, student and the community are important components of the role. You should have a strong evidence-based approach to teaching, are reflective in assessing the effectiveness of your teaching practice to support professional growth and be able to display how your pedagogy has actively resulted in improved outcomes and progression for your students.

  • be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.

  • consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.
