This is a permanent part-time (0.6 FTE) position commencing as soon as possible
South Hedland Primary School (PS) currently accommodates 220 children on site, from Kindergarten to Year 6. Our school is regarded by the community as promoting a supportive learning environment where all staff show concern and care for children.
There is a strong emphasis on pastoral care in our school and we foster strong relationships with our parents and the community to support student learning. Many students come from families where English is a second language and includes families from diverse backgrounds, with 80 percent of students having an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander background.

The Role
The role of the Network Support Officer willinvolve developing and maintaining Information Communication and Technology (ICT) systems and equipment throughout the school, including developing solutions to identified problems. You will assist with the installation, troubleshooting and upgrading of ICT systems and maintain records of ICT assets and resources in accordance with the school's needs and Department of Education policies and guidelines. It will be highly regarded if the successful applicant has a thorough understanding of major operating systems and mobile devices with their associated software, and therefore is able to provide training, advice and support to staff and students on desktop and software applications.
South Hedland PS integrates the use of iPads extensively throughout the school. It is highly desirable the successful applicant has a deep knowledge of iPad maintenance and use, as well as how they can be successfully utilised within the classroom to enhance student learning.
We are looking for an applicant with a high level of interpersonal and communication skills, who is ideally also supportive, helpful and patient when helping staff. You would provide timely, 'hands-on' support for all staff and students, including ICT support in the classroom for teachers / students, as needed.
