Business Development Manager and Key Account Manager- Industrial Automation

We are seeking a BDM & Key Account Manager specializing in Industrial Automation and Digital Technologies, in various commercial modes including SaaS, to strengthen strategic partnerships and drive growth across a defined customer portfolio. What You'll Do
  • Manage and grow key customer relationships through structured account management.
  • Identify, qualify, and develop strategic solution sales opportunities within your assigned territory.
  • Contribute to a unified Solutions Sales strategy across business units in Australia and New Zealand.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth project handover, execution and implementation.
  • Achieve sales targets and support the financial performance of your territory.
  • Lead solution and service presentations that demonstrate Yokogawa's value to clients.
What You'll Bring
  • Engaging, proactive professional with a strong track record in sales, business development and account management.
  • Customer service-oriented mindset with analytical thinking, self-motivation, assertiveness, and a solution-focused approach.
  • Key Account Management – ability to develop understanding with stakeholders at various roles in client organisations.
  • Initiative, ability to think on your feet, seek clarity, navigate complexity and assist stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence and negotiate at all levels.
  • Collaborative approach to teamwork with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to deliver results in a dynamic, multi-stakeholder environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and multitasking capabilities to handle multiple projects.
  • Foundation and understanding of Electrical Engineering or relevant experience; ability to learn and understand.
  • Experience in the industrial automation or engineering space is an advantage; open to skilled salespeople from technical B2B markets.
