Project Coordinator – Hospital Funding at UnitingCare Queensland

This is a full-time permanent position working primarily out of our Brisbane CBD office with hybrid flexibility to work from home and occasional visits to hospital locations.

Your part in our UnitingCare team

Role

  • Reporting to the General Manager Patient Revenue and Digital Health, support the coordination of the Revenue and Digital Health team.
  • Provide project coordination across the revenue cycle and digital health initiatives, with emphasis on process improvement.
  • Coordinate and support projects led by senior leaders within the Revenue and Digital Health team, including system maintenance and senior administrative support.
What makes a difference for us?
  • Tertiary education in a related field (e.g., Business, Accounting, Health Information, Health Administration)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the broader health care sector or experience in a private hospital environment
  • Ability to manage or support multiple projects with multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to work effectively within a highly motivated team
  • Strong professional manner with commercial acumen and an operational focus to deliver on time
  • Strong analytics experience to derive solutions from data; good verbal and written communication skills, including report writing
Desirable
  • Experience working with Patient Administration and Billing and Claiming systems in the Australian Private Hospital context
  • Knowledge of casemix and health fund payment arrangements in the Australian Private Health sector would be advantageous
