The Technical Readiness Risk Lead is a key role in the Technical Readiness team. This team advises the Security & Payments (S&P) Technology division, on the CHESS Replacement project's operational risks, relating to systems throughout releases 1 and 2, and on the related controls, issues and actions.

The scope of the role includes collaboration with CHESS support teams inclusive but not limited to; application support, line 1 risk and other cross functional teams, to ensure alignment to ASX enterprise risk policies, standards and industry regulatory obligations.

What You'll Do

• Participate in regular meetings with technology management teams to review risk data in the GRC tool (ERICA), and lead discussions on control reviews, improvements and testing
• Work with colleagues within the Technology Risk Management team to develop and implement a controls taxonomy based on an external controls library with centralised and common controls
• Provide advice on identification, recording, and assessment of controls, including those aligned with the technology controls taxonomy and team specific controls
• Lead the identification, recording, and assessment of technology risks and issues relating to control gaps and deficiencies
• Collaborate with ASX risk professionals in the three lines of defence across the CHESS Replacement project and technology management teams on optimising risk management processes to align with the Board Risk Appetite Statement.
• Lead the RiC initiative for the CHESS project from a risk and controls standpoint and present a holistic risk and controls view from a project standpoint.
  
  

What You'll Need

Must have

• 10+ years of IT technology risk management with experience in mission critical applications operations including cloud based applications
• Post graduate risk management qualification
• Experience in risk management, audit or a related function in a regulated technology environment
• Control testing experience or exposure
• Technology risk and controls framework understanding
• Exposure to Agile practices/tools like daily scrums, JIRA/Confluence and Workflows
• Strong communication & interpersonal skills
• Ability to influence a broad set of stakeholders.
  
  

Nice to have

• Strong knowledge of ITIL and COBIT frameworks
• Experience writing Board and/or management papers
• Conducted workshops, training or similar where key messages have been clearly delivered and feedback responded to
• Exposure to the equities trading life-cycle (T+2)
• Experience working in a highly regulated environment
