About You

Are you passionate about coaching, uplifting team performance, and driving excellence in customer outcomes? We're looking for a motivated Assessing Specialist to join our Home Claims team and play a key role in shaping the way we deliver brilliant service to our customers.

The role

As an Assessing Specialist, you will provide product, technical, process, and systems support to our Home Claims Assessing teams. You'll partner with Assessing Managers and stakeholders to help achieve strategic business goals, identify opportunities for improvement, mitigate risks, and support team performance.

This role is performance-focused, with a strong emphasis on coaching, training, and guiding Assessors to uplift capability and confidence. You will also act as a subject matter expert, supporting projects, events, and complex claims where specialist input is required.

Most importantly, through your knowledge and support, you'll empower our Assessors to deliver outstanding customer experiences throughout the claims process.

What You'll Do
  • Provide technical, process, and systems support to Assessing teams
  • Design and deliver training – create clear and engaging training packs, facilitate sessions for Assessing teams, and ensure content is practical and impactful.
  • Support capability uplift – provide coaching and knowledge sharing to strengthen technical and process expertise across the team.
  • Turn insights into action – analyse data and team performance, prepare reporting packs, and present insights to leaders to drive process improvements and enhance outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Assessing Managers and stakeholders to achieve business goals
  • Identify risks and opportunities to drive process improvements and efficiency
  • Act as an Assessing SME in projects, events, and complex claims support
  • Help uplift the customer experience by enabling our teams to deliver with excellence

What You'll Bring
  • Experience in claims assessing (home/general insurance experience highly desirable)
  • Strong knowledge of claims processes, systems, and risk identification
  • Experience in

  • Excellent problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills
  • A collaborative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and customer outcomes
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to complete deep-dives, provide clear insights, and translate findings into reports and recommendations that drive process enhancement.
