• San Clemente Catholic College Mayfield is seeking a Permanent Full-Time Leader of Learning – Vocational Education to join our team from January 2026.
San Clemente is a Catholic school in the Dominican tradition, currently catering to students in Years 7–10. In 2026, the College will introduce Stage 6, expanding our offerings and creating opportunities for innovation and growth.

Responsibilities- Lead and collaborate with the School Leadership Team to promote the school as a place of learning and excellence in accordance with contemporary evidence-based learning principles.
- Ensure the highest standards of teaching practice.
- Lead and support ongoing development, implementation, and oversight of quality teaching programs and learning outcomes.
- Demonstrate deep understanding and expertise in KLA curriculum requirements.
- Establish a culture of collaborative and reflective practice.
- Support individuals in identifying new experiences for continual professional development.
- Know your students and provide engaging learning that supports student wellbeing.
- Ability to articulate a clear understanding of and personal commitment to Catholic education and the mission of the Church through Catholic schools.
- Demonstrated success in cultivating a culture of continuous improvement, leading effective professional learning, and building teachers' leadership capacity.
- Demonstrated management and administrative skills to ensure assessment, and teaching and learning programs operate effectively and efficiently.
- Demonstrated capacity to use data to optimise outcomes, think and act strategically, and support the Leadership Team in leading the school's mission.
- High level communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop constructive and respectful relationships within and beyond the school community.
- Prior leadership experience (Desirable)
- Working towards Highly Accomplished or Lead Teaching Standards (Desirable)
- Four-year trained teacher with at least four years' successful teaching experience aligned with the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers
- NESA Teacher Accreditation
- Current NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- Completion of anaphylaxis training
- Postgraduate study in education (e.g., Master of Leadership, Educational Leadership, IT, Curriculum) (Desirable)
- Salary in accordance with NSW & ACT Catholic Systemic Schools Enterprise Agreement 2023
