The Role
We are seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to join our Government & Commercial Law team in Canberra. The successful candidate will support our legal team in various administrative and clerical tasks, contributing to the efficient operation of our practice. Your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
- Answering phone calls and assisting with client enquiries;
- Diary management;
- Opening and closing files;
- Assisting with client and team events; and
- Providing ad hoc administrative support to the team.
Who We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate will be a career legal assistant with at least 2 years' experience. You will have excellent communication and time management skills, with a client service focus. You will be proficient in MS Word and formatting and have the ability to prioritise tasks and display initiative. Strong attention to detail and a proven history of meeting deadlines will be imperative to the role. This opportunity is based onsite with office hours being 8.30am to 5pm.
