Your New Company / Role :

A well-established client within the construction industry is looking for an experienced Accounts Officer to join their growing team. This is a permanent full-time position based in Artarmon 2064, NSW. This role is suitable for someone looking to establish their career in accounting. The successful candidate must be an Australian Citizen.

About the Opportunity / Responsibilities :

Reporting to a nurturing Finance Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Processing invoices
  • Performing accounts payable and receivable duties
  • Conducting reconciliations
  • Assisting with audit preparation by organizing financial documents
  • Supporting the finance team with data entry and administrative tasks
  • Reconciliation of supplier statements and resolving invoice discrepancies
  • Maintaining accurate records in the accounting system

Ideal Profile

This opportunity is suited for someone with experience as an Accounts Assistant or Accounts Officer. The ideal candidate will also have:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting & Finance or equivalent qualification/experience
  • Exposure to ERP systems, with M3 being advantageous but not essential
  • Experience in the construction industry is highly desirable
  • 1-3 years or more of experience in a similar role
  • Strong communication skills
  • Intermediate proficiency in Excel
  • A proactive and self-motivated approach to work and improvement
  • Australian citizenship is a must
