Job Overview

The High Voltage Operational Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective operation of high-voltage electrical systems. This includes coordinating and facilitating high-voltage electrical operations, preparing and reviewing switching programs, maintaining documentation, performing switching operations, issuing access permits, and ensuring compliance with relevant procedures and standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and facilitate high-voltage electrical operations across multiple projects.
  • Prepare and review switching programs and permits.
  • Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with procedures and standards.
  • Communicate effectively with project teams and HV electricians.
  • Support the High Voltage Operating Authority (HVOA) in oversight of HV operations.
Requirements
  • Nationally accredited High Voltage Switching Operator certificate.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Strong decision-making skills with the ability to make critical judgments regarding high-voltage operations and clearly justify actions.
  • Familiarity with Electrical Safety Acts/Rules and Regulations applicable to Australian States.
  • Strong knowledge of HV substation operations and maintenance.
  • Experience in preparing HV Switching programs, permits, and protocols.
