Technical Support Officer - Field Services, Information and Digital Services (IDS)
Location: Parramatta & Sydney Metro
Employment Type: Temporary, full-time (up to 12 months), with potential for extension
Salary: Clerk Grade 5/6 – $99,938 – $110,270 plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.

Your role
As a Technical Support Officer, you will provide Tier 3 support to end users across DCJ's ICT environment, ensuring timely resolution of issues and minimal disruption to services. This includes supporting infrastructure, hardware and software, ensuring user access rights, and investigating incidents. You will also assist with installation, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation, helping to restore systems quickly and keep the organisation running smoothly.
What you'll do
- Deliver remote and on-site ICT support to staff in line with SLAs.
- Investigate and resolve system and security issues, escalating as needed.
- Set up and maintain ICT devices and monitor their performance.
- Manage access rights and apply security controls in line with policies.
- Create and update support documentation to improve service continuity.
- Assist in implementing remedies, preventative measures, and system updates.

- Demonstrated experience providing ICT support in a large, complex environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Knowledge across diverse hardware, platforms, and applications.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- The ability to create clear documentation to assist colleagues and end users.
Essential requirements
- Willingness to participate in an on-call and/or after-hours roster.
- A current driver's licence (may be required for travel to Data Centre or on-site support).
