About Us:
Risk & Investigative Services Qld (RISQ) is an innovative provider of factual investigation services to government and corporate sectors using modern technology and methodology to operate in the most efficient manner. Our cost saving structure benefits the client (reduced fees) and our investigators (higher hourly rates). We specialise in delivering thorough and impartial workplace investigations that support organisations to maintain a fair and legally compliant work environment. We pride ourselves on treating everyone with courtesy and respect.
About the Role:
We are seeking experienced investigators to conduct independent and objective investigations into allegations of misconduct, bullying, harassment, discrimination, and other workplace issues on a subcontract basis. The successful candidates will be responsible for gathering and analysing evidence, interviewing relevant parties, preparing detailed reports, while maintaining compliance with legal and ethical standards.
If you are an experienced factual investigator who wants to move away from insurance investigations and into a more challenging and rewarding role, we encourage you to apply. We offer training and mentoring for the right candidate to ensure they can transition into the niche speciality as a workplace investigator.
If you are in a full-time investigator role and are looking for additional part-time work, we will support you obtaining approval from your employer for secondary employment with us. You may also be an investigator looking to return to the workplace. If so, we provide you the flexibility to choose how often you work and how many investigations you would like to do.
These roles are on a subcontract basis which means you will need to hold an ABN and operate as a sole trader. We can assist you with that.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct workplace investigations in accordance with legal and organisational policies.
- Interview complainants, respondents, and witnesses professionally and impartially.
- Gather and analyse evidence, including documents, emails, and CCTV footage.
- Prepare clear, factual, and well-structured investigation reports.
- Maintain confidentiality and sensitivity in handling cases.
- Provide recommendations based on investigation findings.
- Stay updated on workplace laws, industrial relations, and best practices.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Proven experience in workplace investigations, law enforcement, compliance, human resources, or a related field an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of investigation methodology and practices.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.
- High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines.
- Relevant qualifications in law, HR, investigations, or a related discipline (highly regarded).
Minimum Requirements:
- Queensland Investigator's License
- Queensland Driver's License
- ABN
- Laptop or Personal Computer
- Reliable internet connection
- Mobile Phone
- Digital Recording Device
- Reliable Motor Vehicle
Why Work with Us?
- Work with a professional and experienced team.
- Competitive and structured hourly rates based on recognition of skills and experience. Competitive pay levels for Investigators, Senior Investigators and Principal investigators.
- Opportunity to contribute to fair and ethical workplace practices.
- Super flexible working arrangements.
- Training and Mentoring.
Whether you are a seasoned investigator or looking to make the transition, if you have a strong commitment to fairness and integrity, we would love to hear from you.
How to Apply:
Please submit your resume and a cover letter outlining your relevant experience to admin@risq.net.au.
