Support the payroll delivery by completing monthly and fortnightly payrolls, which includes all data entry, payroll processing and end of period reporting

Analyse and check all payroll information is accurate
Be across new legislation and ensure payroll is processed as required.
Ensure controls are in place and are completed to reduce and/or minimise risk.
Respond to queries and requests for information in a timely manner, including investigating further into complaints or issues regarding pays.
Ensure internal processes are captured for all aspects of payroll and are easily accessible.
This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferrable skills and experiences, including:
Robust knowledge and experience of payroll operations. Ideally you'll be experienced within medium to large sized organisations.
You'll possess a broad understanding of payroll functions, procedures and processes.
Any experience with iChris/Chris21 or a similar payroll operating system.
You have the ability and are comfortable to deal sensitively with payroll issues and maintain confidentiality at all times.
Positive and inquisitive attitude with the ability to take direction and be proactive, responsible and accountable.
You possess well-rounded interpersonal and communication skills to be able to provide a high level of service to employees and stakeholders.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and work towards strict time frames.
You're a team player who can work collaboratively in a team but also autonomously as needed.
Ability to interpret and apply provision of relevant legislation, awards, certified agreements and company policies.
A high level of attention to detail with the ability to analyse and problem solve.
Continuous improvement mindset and proactive in sharing recommendations and opportunities for improvements.
If you meet some of these requirements, but not all, we encourage you to submit your application.
With a career at Transurban, you'll enjoy a range of benefits, including:
A range of flexible working and leave options, including the option to purchase an additional six weeks of leave each year
16 weeks paid parental leave (regardless of gender or carer status), with no waiting period, with Superannuation paid during unpaid leave as well

Health and wellbeing support—access to Headspace and our EAP program, wellness facilities, and more
Share offers and insurance benefits
Social activities, community give-back programs and paid volunteer days
We offer a range of flexible working and leave options, so you can balance your work and life commitments and interests. Have a conversation with us about how this could work for you.
We embrace diversity with a foundation of safety, wellbeing and inclusion; where everyone belongs. We treat everyone with fairness, consideration and respect, regardless of gender, gender identity, marital or family status, sexual orientation, age, ethnicity, religious beliefs, cultural or socio-economic background, perspective, and experience – whether they work for us or not.
