About the business and the role

Roads 2000 is a well-established civil construction company in Western Australia, operating as part of the Politis Group. We specialise in asphalt production, placement, and project management, servicing private, council, and government projects.

The Role

We are currently seeking experienced Asphalt Crew Members to join our Asphalt Team based in Wangara, WA, working across Perth Metro and regional projects. The role involves reporting to the Asphalt Laying Supervisor and Manager as part of the operational team. Successful candidates must be flexible and available to work day shifts, night shifts, weekends, and away from home.

The successful candidate will hold:

  • A current HR Driver's License
  • A valid White Card in WA
  • The ability to pass drug, alcohol, and pre-employment medical tests
  • A police clearance
  • Reliable transport, as public transport is limited

Skills, experience, and qualifications include:

  • Experience in the asphalt industry and pavement (preferred)
  • Manual labour skills such as raking, shovelling, equipment cleaning, and machinery operation
  • Maintenance of machinery and adherence to OH&S protocols
  • Experience operating asphalt machinery like pavers, screeds, rollers, shuttle buggy, MTV, Pave set (machine tickets preferred but not essential)

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a team, excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn.
