Join a leading Queensland Government department as a Senior Project Manager to deliver a transformational Data Modernisation Project. This is a high-impact opportunity to lead the development of a modern, Microsoft-based Enterprise Data Platform that will shape the department's future capabilities in data management, analytics, and governance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the delivery of a modern Enterprise Data Platform using Microsoft Fabric.
  • Oversee the full project lifecycle-scoping, governance, budget, timelines, and delivery.
  • Guide the uplift of data governance, lifecycle management, data literacy, and tooling.
  • Manage cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders to drive performance.
  • Maintain project artefacts, reporting, risk and issue logs, and handover documentation.
  • Champion best practices in change management, communication, and stakeholder engagement.

What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years of experience delivering complex data management or digital transformation projects.
  • Proven leadership across data platforms, business intelligence, and governance initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Fabric, data architecture, and lifecycle principles.
  • Demonstrated stakeholder management experience working with executives, technical teams, and third-party vendors.
  • High emotional intelligence and team leadership skills in fast-paced, cross-functional environments.
  • Familiarity with data warehouse modernisation, data literacy uplift, and data analytics platforms.

Desirable Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualifications in IT, Business, or related fields.
  • Certifications in project management (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP, Agile).
  • Government experience and understanding of VET sector operations is a plus.
