We are delighted to announce our partnership with Coopers Brewery in the search for their next Field Sales Manager. Coopers is Australia's largest independent family-owned brewery. For six generations they have been custodians of a proud legacy that began in 1862 when Thomas Cooper brewed his first batch of ale. Today, their unique brand of naturally conditioned ales and stouts are enjoyed around the world, and they are still making these beers using the same traditional brewing methods that Thomas Cooper did. About the RoleAs the Field Sales Manager for Coopers Brewery, you'll play a critical role in leading a high-performing team across Victoria, with a strong focus on both on and off-premise channels. You'll be responsible for coaching and mentoring area managers, identifying growth opportunities, and collaborating with the team to drive state-based initiatives. This role combines hands-on fieldwork with strategic oversight, including customer engagement, business development, and trade execution. With a strong commercial focus, you'll also contribute to state P&L management, support key retail and hospitality partnerships, and help build long-term customer relationships. Skills and Experience RequiredTo succeed in this role, you'll bring a minimum of 3–5 years' experience in a Field Sales Manager or similar leadership position within the FMCG or alcohol sector. You'll have a solid understanding of both the on- and off-premise landscapes, with particular strength or interest in developing on-premise relationships. Proven experience coaching and mentoring diverse teams is essential, along with the ability to identify blind spots, unlock commercial opportunities, and lead by example in the field. You'll be comfortable using data to inform decisions, manage budgets, and contribute to state P&L outcomes, while also being highly effective in customer-facing environments. A flexible, empathetic leadership style paired with strong commercial acumen and a readiness to engage with customers outside standard hours will be key to success. Experience working in a fast-moving, competitive environment and a genuine passion for the beer or beverage industry will set you apart.
