Senior Legal Assistant

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Legal Assistant to join our National Work + Road team in Melbourne. This is a full-time role supporting a Practice Leader with Workers Compensation matters. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing a high level of care and support to our clients in a professional manner
- Building strong relationships with clients, internal and external stakeholders
- Supporting the team with general file management and administration
- Coordinating appointments for lawyers, medico-legal appointments, conferences, and mediations
- Communicating with clients, insurers, and other professionals both in writing and verbally
- Preparing legal correspondence and court documents
- Preparing matters for conferences and hearings
- Mentoring and training legal support staff
You will be an experienced Legal Assistant with a passion for social justice and generating positive outcomes for clients. The following skills and experience will ensure your success:
- Previous experience in legal support or administration
- A passion for helping people and high empathy
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills
- Excellent written and drafting skills
- Attention to detail and good time management
- Organisational skills and ability to multi-task
- Ability to work autonomously and in a team
- A willingness to learn
- Proactive approach and initiative
- Availability to work 38 hours per week, between 8:30 am – 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday
