About The Role

Victoria Legal Aid (VLA) is seeking Administrative Assistants to join our team in Mildura. In this role, you will provide essential administrative support to our lawyers and clients, as part of a small team of Legal Assistants. Your responsibilities will include clerking duties in court, in addition to reception tasks and general office support.

You'll also play an important role in assisting clients by answering questions, providing information about legal services, and connecting them with the right support. Your work will help ensure that the office runs smoothly and efficiently.

This role is based at our Mildura office on Latji Latji Country.

About You

As our ideal candidate, you will possess:
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage tasks and deadlines.
  • Great communication skills and a client-focused approach.
  • Ability to work with people from different backgrounds, including vulnerable or disadvantaged clients.
  • Attention to detail and ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
