The Role

Eastern Goldfields College is seeking a motivated and effective leader to join the college's Leadership Team in the role of Follow the Dream Coordinator. In this role, the successful applicant will play an important part in providing strategic leadership and fostering a positive school culture. The position involves coordinating all aspects of the Follow the Dream program and supporting its integration into the daily operations of the college. The successful applicant is encouraged to provide educational leadership that builds capacity within the school and community by implementing and promoting the Follow the Dream program. They are invited to support students, school staff, volunteers, and community members in sharing ownership of the program's vision and goals.

Collaboration with school leaders and teaching staff will be important in developing and implementing targeted programs, plans, and whole-school approaches aimed at improving student achievement, in line with the Aboriginal Cultural Standards Framework. The role involves using effective change strategies to help facilitate acceptance and development of opportunities that enhance student educational outcomes. Managing the operation of the program includes overseeing financial resources, monitoring implementation, and developing improvement strategies based on quality data and contextual information. The successful applicant will foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, especially Aboriginal families, communities, and industry groups, to ensure effective program delivery and support for students' academic and career pathways.

  • Demonstrated ability to provide strategic leadership that builds capacity, deals effectively with change and generates innovative solutions related to achieving educational outcomes
  • Demonstrated highly developed written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to conduct research, prepare reports and establish effective working relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve planned outcomes
