Finance Officer Position Available

2 days a week (0.4 FTE)

Tallowood Steiner School is a growing, independent school, in the beautiful rural setting of Bowraville, NSW. We are seeking an experienced Finance Officer with skills in managing the financial administration requirements of our school, supporting the delivery of rich educational experiences for students and fostering respectful relationships within the school community.

The successful applicant will have a thorough understanding of the financial administration required for a small business, with experience in an educational setting desirable.

Essential Criteria

  • Demonstrated ability to foster positive and respectful relationships with colleagues and the parent community.
  • The ability to work collegially, flexibly, follow instructions and be proactive as the needs arise.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, conduct finance transactions and prepare financial reports.
  • Demonstrated understanding and ability to ensure compliance with financial regulations and laws.
  • Demonstrated accuracy in keeping up-to-date finance and administration records.
  • Demonstrated competency in using accounting software, in particular MYOB.
  • A high level of literacy, numeracy and communication skills.
  • Qualifications in finance, bookkeeping or accounting.
  • Current NSW Working With Children Check.

Desirable Criteria

  • Accounting qualifications such as a diploma or degree in accounting, finance, or business administration with a major in accounting.
