Lucas TCS is a South Australian privately owned and operated company who deliver a diverse range of civil and mining projects nationally. We own and maintain over 500 items of large earthmoving plant, trucks, ancillary plant and equipment.

As our business continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced, hands-on Light Vehicle Mechanic to join the crew at our Darlington workshop in Adelaide's south.

Qualifications

Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent recognised trade)

Solid hands-on experience with servicing, fault-finding, and repairing a wide range of makes and models

A/C service and repair experience, including diagnosing faults and re-gassing systems

Good time management and organisational skills

Willing and able to assist with maintenance on small plant, Haulage, and mining fleet

A commitment to safety, cleanliness, and quality standards in the workshop

MR / HR license (not essential)

Forklift (LF) (not essential)

High risk tickets (not essential)

A/C ticket (not essential)

Overview of duties

Perform regular light vehicle maintenance, servicing and repairs including engine, suspension, transmission, clutch, brakes, timing belt/chain replacement, A/C and cooling system repairs etc.

Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve mechanical issues.

Team player with strong organisational and problem-solving skills.

Maintain stock levels of parts and re-order if necessary.

Complete planned maintenance and servicing tasks.
