Overview

CHILDCARE ASSISTANT (DIPLOMA TRAINED FULL TIME) - MATERNITY LEAVE. Caves Beach Early Learning Centre is seeking a full-time Certificate III or Diploma trained educator to work Monday to Friday. You will be working with children aged 6 weeks to 5 years as part of a experienced team that is enthusiastic and genuinely cares about children and their development. You are an experienced, progressive educator with a strong understanding and appreciation of a play-based, child-led educational program.

Responsibilities
  • Work with children aged 6 weeks to 5 years
  • Contribute to a play-based, child-led educational program
  • Be an active, collaborative team member with a warm and caring approach
  • Maintain high standards of safety, welfare and development for children
  • Provide written and verbal communication with families and staff
  • Meet scheduling requirements (7 am to 6 pm, Monday to Friday) during the contract period
  • Attach a cover letter explaining suitability for the role
Qualifications
  • Hold a Certificate III or Diploma in Early Education
  • Current asthma, anaphylaxis, CPR & First Aid certificates (or willing to obtain)
  • Full Australian working rights
  • Current Working with Children Check, National Police Clearance, Medical Clearance (or willing to obtain)
  • Be able to provide at least one reference check
  • Moderate level of computer literacy
