Applications Are Sought For: DEFENCE SCHOOLS MENTOR (DSM).

(20 Casual hours per week - term time only)

The successful applicant will provide information, support and develop a range of activities for dependents of ADF members and families to ease the impact of mobility and service related parental absence.

Essential Criteria

  • The position requires a commitment to working within the Catholic Ethos.
  • Current Ochre Card (or ability to obtain one).
  • Sound communication skills both oral and written, and the ability to communicate effectively with primary and secondary school aged children, school principal and staff, parents, ADF Members and their families.
  • Demonstrated ability to organise own work, set priorities, meet deadlines, work independently and as a team member and maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to plan, organise and deliver activities and resources relating to the needs of ADF families.
  • Ability to acquire quickly an understanding of the operations of the school.
  • Current driver's licence (MR Licence would be an advantage).
