The Role

The ABC is looking for a Manager, Leadership & Talent for 12 months, to drive the implementation of our new leadership development strategy and key talent related initiatives related to succession planning, development, entry-level programs, mentoring and ABC scholarships. Reporting to the Head Organisational Development, you will be based in our fresh new office space in Ultimo, Sydney with the opportunity to work flexibly. This is a key 12-month leadership role within the Organisational Development team, which is a passionate team of people and culture professionals who work collaboratively across the ABC to deliver great outcomes for our people and the organisation as a whole.

The Job

In This Role You Will
  • Drive the roll out of our new leadership model and supporting development program
  • Lead the ongoing delivery of a suite of new programs aimed at fostering and enables talent across the organisation
  • Oversee the ongoing operation, and continuous improvement, of the ABC Talent Management framework, including conducting talent reviews, succession planning and the operation of key talent initiatives such as coaching, entry-level programs and internal scholarships
  • Provide specialist advice in relation to leadership & talent development to senior leaders across the organisation.
  • Coaching and developing individual leaders identified throughout the talent process.
  • Lead a team of three subject matter experts
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders across the ABC, People & Culture colleagues and the broader learning team.

About You

This is a senior role requiring both strategic planning and hands on program development and delivery and coaching.

You'll Have
  • Demonstrated understanding of adult learning methodologies and best practice in relation to talent & leadership development.
  • Significant experience developing and implementing talent & leadership development strategies across large organisations.
  • High level skills in managing multiple projects, challenges and conflicting priorities in an L&D environment.
  • Superior stakeholder management skills with a naturally collaborative work style.
