We are seeking a Residential Engineer to join our Housing team in Adelaide. The position is open to candidates with various engineering backgrounds, with 3+ years of experience in the field, even without an engineering degree.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing the delivery of high-quality solutions in the residential housing market, including single-storey, double-storey, transportable, and pole-frame projects.
- Producing and reviewing designs such as site plans and drainage plans.
- Reviewing engineering reports and documentation to ensure quality and support skill development.
- Managing client interactions, including meetings, minutes, and feedback monitoring.
- Attending site meetings with stakeholders like builders, homeowners, and contractors.
- Maintaining effective communication with all project stakeholders.
Requirements include:
- At least 3 years of experience in volume housing.
- Experience in designing residential/low-rise structures.
- Experience with timber, reinforced concrete, and steel structures, including waffle, raft, suspended slabs, and retaining walls.
- Proficiency in design software such as ClearCalcs, Space Gass, Toolkit, Inducta, RAPT.
- Ability to build rapport with clients and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of Australian standards and building codes like AS2870, AS1684, AS1170, AS3600, AS4100, NCC.
